FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions):

Q: What types of therapy do you offer?

A: We offer trauma-focused individual therapy for adults (18+) and kids (8-17). Our modalities can include CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), psychodynamic therapy, and more. We're happy to discuss what might be the best fit for your needs.

Q: What issues do you commonly treat?

A: Our therapist’s primarily work with trauma and can address a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, grief, stress management, and life transitions. If you're unsure whether we can help, feel free to reach out for a brief 15 minute consultation with one of our therapists.

Q: I see that you offer yoga therapy. Can I just come in for yoga and not therapy?

A: Unfortunately no. Our trained yoga clinicians incorporate yoga as part of therapy treatment and are unable to only offer yoga at this time. We hope to run yoga groups in the future, so stay tuned!

Q: How frequently should I attend therapy?

A: We highly recommend that you attend therapy sessions weekly. Therapy requires commitment and we have found that less than 2 sessions a month are not as effective with achieving your goals.

Q: Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?

A: We offer both in-person and telehealth (online) sessions for your convenience and comfort. We primarily see clients in person at our Willow Springs office. Katie is the only therapist who sees clients at the Highland Park office.

Q: How long are sessions?

A: Sessions are 50 minutes.

Q: Will my insurance cover sessions?

A: It depends! Each insurance plan is unique and cost of sessions will depend on your specific plan. We are in network with most BCBS PPO or Aetna PPO plans. We are not in network with any HMO or Medicaid/Medicare plans. If you have a BCBS or Aetna plan that is primary or secondary to a Medicaid/Medicare or state plan, we are not considered in network. We need to be in network with both the primary and secondary plan to be considered in network. Out of pocket costs for sessions is currently $130. Our billing assistant, Claire, verifies benefits before your first appointment and will send an explanation of benefits via email. We also highly recommend that you call and verify with your insurance before your first appointment as we can’t guarantee coverage.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations to avoid a late cancellation fee. We are strict with enforcing this fee. We understand life can get hectic and at the same time, our therapists’ set aside this time for you. Advanced notice is appreciated so that we have plenty of time to fill that time slot with someone else. If there are consistent cancellations, your time will unfortunately be forfeited and you will be removed from the schedule.

Q: I’m interested! How do I go about scheduling an appointment?

A: Please contact us at this number (708)-381-0897 or fill out the form on the “Contact Us” page and someone will reach back out to you within 24 business hours. To make it a smooth process, please have your email address, birthdate, and insurance information ready. Once you book an appointment, a client portal link will be sent to the email you provide with necessary paperwork to complete. We ask that paperwork be completed at least 24 hours before your first appointment so that we can review paperwork and verify benefits. If it is not, the appointment will be canceled and you will have to reach out again to reschedule.
